Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - January 9, 2002

NORFOLK - Ruth Michael Clark, 84, of Norfolk and formerly of Hampton went to 
be with the Lord Jan. 7, 2002.
Born in Morgantown, W.Va., on Nov. 5, 1917, she was the daughter of the late 
Fred and Gay Michael. Mrs. Clark was a retired beautician and was a member 
of Foxhill Central United Methodist Church in Hampton. She was predeceased 
by her husband, Stephen Dykes Clark.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her sister, Hazel M. Plate of Norfolk; nieces, Gay 
Marie Pappas of Norfolk and Lisa Imus of Tampa, Fla.; great-nieces, Kelly 
Fitzpatrick of Chesapeake, Raven Pappas of Norfolk, and Maryn Imus of Tampa; 
great-nephews, Joseph Fitzpatrick Jr. of Virginia Beach and David Pappas of 
Norfolk; and great-great-nieces and -nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday at Smith & Williams 
Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, with the Rev. Robert W. Sharp officiating. 
Interment in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the 
funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m.
