Norfolk - George A. Clark, 72, of 834 Park Ave., died Tuesday in a Norfolk
hospital after a short illness.

A native of Kelford, NC, he was a son of George and Mrs. Maria Clark and the
widower of Mrs. Bessie T. Clark. He was retired from the Norfolk & Western
Railway and was a member of First Baptist Church, Bute Street, its Men’s
Progressive League, and N&W Men’s League.

Surviving is a sister, Mrs. Ida M. Martin of Norfolk.

The body was taken to Hale Funeral Home. A funeral service will be in First
Baptist Church, Bute Street, Saturday at 1:30 p.m. by the Rev. E. Paul Simms.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
