FUNERAL OF MRS. ANNIE E. CLARKE

The funeral of Mrs. Annie E., wife of Captain Wm. H. Clarke, whose death was 
announced in Sunday's Virginian, took place from St. Mary's Catholic Church 
yesterday morning and was attended by many friends of this most estimable lady. 
Solemn requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father Doherty, pastor of the church, 
after which the remains were conveyed to St. Mary's Cemetery and interred after 
the last sad rites had been performed. The floral tributes were numerous and 
particularly handsome. The following gentlemen acted as palllbearers: Messrs. M. 
Duggan, James O'Rourke, Wm. Hannan, J. W. McDonald, T. M. Jones, Alonzo Lockridge.
