He had relatives in Washington, who have been notified and are expected to come on to the funeral. The body was taken to Scott's undertaking establishment. *********************************************************************** The remains of Mr. Hartley Clegg were turned over to Mr. Smith, the undertaker, in Norfolk, yesterday. The funeral will take place in that city today. Mr. Clegg's two sisters, from Washington, arrived here yesterday and took charge of the body. Virginian Pilot March 19. 1901 ************************************************************************** FUNERAL OF HARTLEY CLEGG The funeral of Hartley Clegg, whose death we mentioned in Sunday's paper, took place yesterday afternoon from Trinity P.E. Church. The services were conducted by Rev. Mr. Thomason, after which the remains were taken to Norfolk and were buried in Elmwood Cemetery. They were attended by the Portsmouth Rifle Company and the members of the Portsmouth Painters' Union, of which he was a member.
