The Norfolk Landmark September 24, 1902

Mrs. Emma Clegg died at her home in Potomac Street yesterday morning at 4 
o'clock after a lingering illness. Mrs. Clegg had been ailing for several months 
and had been seriously sick for the past several weeks. Mrs. Clegg leaves a 
husband and two children, Sadie Clegg and the other yet unnamed; a mother and 
father, Mr. and Mrs. James Cobb, of Norfolk. Mrs. Clegg was 21 years old. She 
died of bronchitis. The funeral will take place this morning from the family 
residence at 10 o'clock. The Rev. C.H. McGhee will read the burial service. 
Interment will take place in Elmwood Cemetery.

CLEGG - At the residence of her husband, Wm J. Clegg, Potomac Avenue, Lambert's 
Point, September 23rd, 1902, at 3:30 a.m., EMMA CLEGG, in the 23rd year of her 
age.
The funeral will take place THIS (Wednesday) MORNING, at 10 o'clock from the 
residence. Friends and acquaintances respectfully invited to attend.
