Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark July 30, 1926
William L. Clegg, a native and former well known resident of Norfolk, died 
Wednesday afternoon at Bedford, Va.  He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 
38, B.P.O. Elks and was at one time assistant postmaster under the late 
Frank L. Slade.  He is survived by one sister, Mrs. B.F. Johnston, of 
Petersburg, Va. and a nephew, Charles S. Smith, of Norfolk.  Funeral 
services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East 
Freemason street this afternoon at 3 o'clock.  The Rev. William E. 
Callender, chaplain of the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital, will 
officiate.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.

Services at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, No. 610-12 E. Freemason 
street, Norfolk, Va. THIS (Friday) AFTERNOON, at 3 o'clock.  Friends of the 
family are invited to attend.  Interment Elmwood Cemetery.
