Clegg, a native and former well known resident of Norfolk, died Wednesday afternoon at Bedford, Va. He was a member of Norfolk Lodge No. 38, B.P.O. Elks and was at one time assistant postmaster under the late Frank L. Slade. He is survived by one sister, Mrs. B.F. Johnston, of Petersburg, Va. and a nephew, Charles S. Smith, of Norfolk. Funeral services will be held at H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street this afternoon at 3 o'clock. The Rev. William E. Callender, chaplain of the U.S. Public Health Service Hospital, will officiate.
