Virginian Pilot September 5, 1902
The funeral of Mrs. Irene Vandalie Clegg, whose death has been noted in these 
columns, was held from the Spurgeon Memorial Baptist Church at 2 o’clock 
yesterday afternoon and was largely attended by friends of the deceased. The 
service was conducted by the pastor, Rev. J. T. Riddick. The interment was in 
Elmwood Cemetery. Following were the pallbearers: Messrs. R. W. Barrett, R. T. 
Land, H. S. Jarvis, John O. Gronto, N. T. Bailey and E. A. Burns.
