Virginian-Pilot  November 4, 1927
Mrs. Roy Belle Simmons Clemmons, age 27 years, daughter of Mrs. Mary B. and the 
late T. N. Simmons, died Wednesday night at 10:45 o'clock at a local hospital. She 
was a native of Wilmington, N. C., and had been a resident of Norfolk for the past 
three months. Surviving her are two children, Catherine and Douglas Clemmons; her 
mother, Mrs. Mary Simmons; one sister, Mrs. Wilbur Newton, and two brothers, W. 
J., and T. N. Simmons Jr. Services will be conducted at H. D. Oliver’s funeral 
apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, this afternoon at 3:30 o’clock. Burial 
will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
