Clifton, died yesterday morning at 2 o'clock after an illness of several weeks, at the family residence, corner Walker Avenue and Eleventh Street. The deceased was 28 years of age, a native of Camden County and a daughter of the late Lemuel Perkins, who preceded her to the grave several weeks ago, and a daughter of Mrs. Perkins, and in addition to these leaves a grief stricken husband and two children, three sisters and a brother. The deceased was well known in her community where she had lived quite a number of years and was highly respected. The funeral will be conducted from the residence this morning at 10 o'clock and the interment will be in Magnolia Cemetery. *************************************************************** The funeral of the late Mrs. Emma Clifton, wife of J.S. Clifton, was conducted from the residence, corner of Walker Avenue and Eleventh Street, yesterday morning at 10 o'clock, Rev. P.S.C. Davis, pastor of South Norfolk Baptist Church, officiating. The funeral was quite largely attended by friends and relatives of the deceased. The interment was in Magnolia Cemetery.
