Virginian Pilot July 20, 1900

Mr. Peter Joseph Clinton died suddenly at Williamsburg yesterday, aged 59 
years.  The funeral will be held from the residence of his sister, Mrs. 
Teresa Dozier, No. 58 York Street, at 4 o'clock this afternoon.

All that was mortal of Mr. Peter Joseph Clinton, a former resident of this 
city, arrived here yesterday from Williamsburg Va. The funeral was held from 
the residence of his sister, Mrs. Teresa Dozier, No. 58 York Place, at 5 
o'clock yesterday afternoon.  The services were conducted by Rev. W.A. Barr, 
D.D. of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.  The remains were laid to rest in 
Elmwood Cemetery.
