Virginian Pilot June 26, 1997

Laurie Herbert Cobb, 94, formerly of Eastwood Terrace, died Wednesday, June 25, 
1997, in a Norfolk health care center.
Mrs. Cobb, the widow of Rudolph Judson Cobb, was born in the Berkley section of 
Norfolk and was a member of St. Andrew's Episcopal Church. She was preceded in 
death by her daughter, Anne McAlpine Cobb.
Survivors include a sister, Marjorie McAlpine Schumann of Norfolk; a grandson, 
Heywood Bridges Tatem III of Fort Lauderdale, Fla.; three nieces, Terri Schumann 
Warren, Ellie McAlpine Svec, both of Norfolk, Laurie Anne Forrest of Portsmouth; 
two nephews, Edward "Chap" Charles Schumann II and Mark Herbert Schumann, both 
of Norfolk; two great-nieces and three great-nephews.
A private family service will be conducted in Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of 
flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, 
1009 W. Princess Anne Road, Norfolk, Va. 23507. Cox Funeral Home is handling 
arrangements.
