WILLIAMSBURG - Virginia Carey Coffman passed away in her sleep, June 4, 2003, in 
Williamsburg.

Mrs. Coffman has resided in Virginia Beach since 1952, and has been an active 
member of Star of the Sea Catholic Church while living at the Beach. She was also 
a past member of the Bird Neck Point Garden Club.

She was 84 and the widow of Emory Ronald Coffman, a Naval Aviator, who was killed 
by enemy fire in Korea. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Stuart Coffman, of 
Williamsburg.

A Liturgy of the Resurrection will be held 10 a.m. Saturday at Star of the Sea 
Catholic Church in Virginia Beach by Father Kevin J. O'Brien. The family will 
receive friends at the church from 9 to 10 a.m., one hour prior to the Mass. 
Burial will follow at St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery in Norfolk.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Star of the Sea Catholic Church or 
St. Bede's Catholic Church in Williamsburg.
