Norfolk Virginian Pilot February 18, 1946 

Samuel Edward Coggin, 65, husband of Mrs. Eva T. Coggin and son of the late S.B. 
and Lula B. Coggin, died at the residence of his brother, R.M. Coggin, Warsaw, 
yesterday at 2 a.m., while on a visit to his brother. Besides his wife, he is 
survived by a son, S.E. Coggin, Jr., of Norfolk; a grandson, George Thomas 
Coggin; two brothers, R. M. Coggin, of Warsaw and William Coggin, of Richmond; a 
sister, Miss Annie Mae Coggin, of Richmond.
Mr. Coggin was a native of North Carolina and had lived in Norfolk most of his 
life. He was a member of the Wesleymen's Bible Class of Epworth Church. 
Funeral services will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow 
at 2 p.m. Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
