Virginian-Pilot December 23, 1948
Mrs. Elizabeth M. Coin, widow of John Milton Coin, died Tuesday at 6 p.m. at her 
home in Wilmington, N.C., after a short illness. She was a daughter of the late E. 
E. and Mrs. Sarah Bonney Whitehurst.
A native of Norfolk, she had resided in Philadelphia, Pa., for many years. She 
moved to Wilmington several months ago.
Funeral services were conducted yesterday at 4:30 p. m. at Saint James Episcopal 
Church, Wilmington.
The body will be brought to Norfolk for burial tomorrow at noon in Elmwood 
Cemetery.
