Miss Alice Everard Cole, 94, of Richmond, formerly of Hampton, died January 23, 
2003. Miss Cole was born June 5, 1908, in Norfolk, Va., the youngest daughter of 
the late James Edward Cole and Ellen Hardy Cole. Miss Cole is survived by four 
nephews, Heriot Clarkson of Manakin-Sabot, Dr. John Cole Jr. of Roanoke, Lt. Col. 
Arthur Emmerson VII (Retired) of Alexandria and Samuel Hardy Cole Jr. of 
Shreveport, La.; one niece, Dent Cole Moses of Atlantic Beach, Fla.; and many 
great-nieces and -nephews and great-great-nieces and -nephews. A graveside service 
will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday at Elmwood Cemetery in Norfolk.
