The Norfolk Virginian Pilot Friday August 1, 1941


Miss Agnes B. Cole, aged 42, died in Washington, D.C. Wednesday morning at 5:30 
o’clock after an illness of about a year. Miss Cole was the daughter of Mary L. 
Cole, of Washington and the late Dr. George H.B. Cole.
She is survived by five sisters, Miss Nannie S. Cole, Mrs. Pearl Cole Wall, 
Mrs. Elizabeth Cole Kirtley, Mrs. Alice Cole Vaughan and Mrs. Florence Cole 
Robertson, and a brother, John M. Cole, all of Washington.
The body will arrive in Norfolk this morning at 8 o’clock on the Washington 
boat and be taken directly to Elmwood Cemetery where funeral services will be 
conducted at the grave. The Rev. L.G. Sturdivant, D.D., pastor of Park Place 
Methodist Church, will officiate.
