Virginian Pilot September 20, 1957

NORFOLK—Mrs. Clementina Gensale Colella, 80, widow of Frank Colella and daughter 
of Francisco and Mrs. Saveria Gensale, a native of Avellino, Italy, and a 
resident of Norfolk for 60 years, died yesterday at 2 a.m. at a Norfolk nursing 
home. 
Surviving are six daughters, Mrs. Sara Cimmino, Mrs. Frances Liossatos, Mrs. 
Mary Speros, Mrs. Rose Promutico and Mrs. Angelina Covolo, of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
Margaret Arbesuk, of Union City, N.J.; a son, Guy Colella, of Washington; 18 
grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and one brother, Charles Gensale of Jersey 
City, N.J.
 The body will be taken from H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments to Blessed 
Sacrament Catholic Church for services tomorrow at 10 a.m. Burial will be in St. 
Mary's Cemetery. Rosary services will be conducted at the funeral apartments 
today at 7:30 p.m. The family will assemble at 726 W. 28th St.

NORFOLK — Funeral services for Mrs. Clementina Gensale Colella, widow of Frank 
Colella, who died Thursday, were conducted at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church 
yesterday at 10 a.m. by the Rev. Paul Harrington. The Rev. Kenneth M. Rizer was 
present in the sanctuary. Burial was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. Pallbearers were 
Alvin Cross, Eugene Zarecki, John Lightfoot, Joseph Covola Jr., Frank Scotece 
and Joseph Candalese.
