Mr. Coleman was the widower of Emma L. Coleman and was a native of New York City. He was a member of B'Nai Israel Congregation and its men's club in Norfolk. He retired from Grand Furniture Company. Mr. Coleman was a life member of both the Brith Sholom Lodge and Knights of Pythias and a member of the Norfolk Masonic Lodge No. 1 and the Jewish War Veterans. Survivors include a daughter, Etta C. Forman of Virginia Beach; two sons, Dr. Stan L. Coleman of Baltimore and Michael S. Coleman of Owens Mills, MD; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday at B'Nai Israel Cemetery by Rabbi Yosef Friedman and Rabbi Aaron Baer. H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Norfolk Chapel is handling arrangements.
