Mr. Coleman, retired clothing merchant, had been a resident of Norfolk for 43 years, residing at 516 Butterworth St, at the time of his death. Surviving him are two sons, Dr. R. R. Coleman of Long Island, NY, and Charles S. Coleman of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. Frances Levine of Norfolk and Mrs. Evelyn Cashvan of Portsmouth; ten grandchildren, three brothers, Abraham Coleman of Long Island, NY, Phillip Coleman of Brooklyn, NY, and Isedore Coleman of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Ida Winn and Miss Sadie Coleman of Norfolk, and several nieces and nephews. Services were conducted at the H. D. Oliver Funeral Apts. yesterday at 3:30 p.m. by Rabbi Israel Bornstein and Rabbi Joseph Schecter of the United Orthodox Synagogue. Burial was in Khal Chasedim Cemetery [B'Nai Israel Cemetery]. The pallbearers were Stan Lee Coleman, Leonard Levine, Sam Weisberg, Harry Fleder, Joseph H. Kanter, Hyman Winn, Phillip Coleman and Harry Weisberg.
