Coleman of 1538 Dickinson street, a native of Nansemond county, VA, died Dec. 9 in a hospital after a short illness. He was the husband of Mrs. Florence A. Coleman and a son of the late Rev. James T. and Mrs. Palmetta Coleman. He was a World War II veteran. Besides his widow, surviving are a son, Paris Lenon of Lynchburg, VA; a daughter, Miss Linda Lenon of Philadelphia; a brother, Robert L. Coleman of Norfolk; six sisters, Mrs. Salla Pryor and Mrs. Allie C. Sharrock of Philadelphia and Mrs. Sarah C. Perkins, Mrs. Rachel C. Beverly, Mrs. Elizabeth Pharr, and Mrs. Ruth C. Bellamy of Norfolk; and two grandchildren. A funeral service will be held Dec. 15 in New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, by Dr. Milton A. Reid. Burial with military honors, will be in Calvary Cemetery. Moseley Funeral Home, Norfolk, was in charge of arrangements.
