Jeremiah Joseph Coleman Sr., 77, of 1800 Arrowwood St., died Tuesday at 4 p.m. in a hospital. Born in Ireland, he lived in this area 64 years. He was the husband of Mrs. Mary C. Eddy Coleman and a son of Michael R. and Mrs. Alice Fitzgibbon Coleman. He retired from the Fire Division in 1951 after 34 years. He was a member of the Fireman’s Relief Association, Elizabeth Camp 13 of Woodmen of the World, St. Pius X Catholic Church and its Holy Name Society. Besides his widow, surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Frank E. Barry and Mrs. H. W. Curling Jr., and a son, Jeremiah J. Coleman Jr., all of Norfolk; two sisters, Mrs. Mary C. Farnum of Chicago and Miss Honora Coleman, of Limerick, Ireland; and two grandchildren. The body was taken to H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.
