Mrs. Virginia Aulden Coles, 1204 Mapole Avenue, died December 16 at her 
residence at the age of forty three.  She was born in Asheville, NC, and had 
lived in Norfolk 29 years.  She was an active member of Mt. Olive Baptist 
Church.

She is survived by her husband, William Coles;  mother, Mrs. Bessie Bassett;  
three sons, Rudolph, Donald, and Wendell;  one daughter, Miss Marjorie Coles;  
two sisters and one brother.

Final rites were held December 19 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Olive Baptist Church with 
the pastor, Rev. H. T. Myers, officiating.  Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with 
Riddick’s Funeral Service in charge.
