Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Sunday, September 5, 1999 
Marian B. Coles, 63, of the 700 block of Filer St., died Sept. 3, 1999, at the
2800 block of Colchester Crescent, Norfolk.

Born in Norfolk, she was a retired cashier from NAVPHI Base Package Store. She
was a member of New Mount Zion Community Church in Norfolk, where she was a
former choir member, missionary and a former member of the Autumn's Club. She
was a member of Chesterfield Heights Civic League.

Survivors include a daughter, Sharon Ann Coles-Mitchell of Norfolk; a
son-in-law, Charles L. Mitchell Sr. of Norfolk; two sisters, Lois Love of
Norfolk and Evone Lovitt of Virginia Beach; and her grandchildren, Corey D.
Coles, Kelecia L. Taylor, Elwood Taylor Jr. and Keela L. Whitt, all of Norfolk;
and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Tuesday in New Rising Sun Baptist Church,
Norfolk, by the Rev. Willie R. McNair. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery .
Family and friends will assemble at 11 a.m. Tuesday at 2809 Colchester Crescent
for the procession. Hale Funeral Home is in charge.
