New York - Last rites were conducted recently for Russell Lee Coles Sr. of 2414 
98th street, Elmhurst, NY in Hale Funeral Chapel.  Dr. J. Jasper Freeman 
officiated.

A native of Norfolk, he was the son of Mrs. Magdaline W. Coles and the late Zebb 
Coles.

He was a member of First Baptist Church, E. Elmhurst.

Surviving, besides his mother, are three sons, Russell Lee Coles Jr of E. 
Elmhurst and Eugene and Kenneth Coles of Baltimore, MD and a sister, Mrs. 
Dorothy Ashe of Baltimore.

Burial was in Calvary Cemetery with full military honors.  Hale Funeral Home was 
in charge.
