Collette, 76, Negro, of 923 Wood Street, widow of George W. Collette, died Wednesday at 4:30 a.m. at her residence. A native of Henderson, N.C., she had been a resident of Norfolk 50 years. She was treasurer of the Woman's Auxiliary of Norfolk Community Hospital and an active YWCA worker. She was employed by Col. and Mrs. S.L. Slover for the past 30 years as a dressmaker. Surviving are one sister, Molly Faulker, of Norfolk; one brother, Edward G. Burwell, of Philadelphia; a daughter, Mrs. Virginia Collette, of New York; a son Mottu Collette, of Norfolk and two grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at the Holy Temple on Chapel Street today at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery.
