Norfolk Virginian Pilot, Monday, Aug 19,1940
Mrs. Lola Best Collier, aged 40, wife of William S. Collier, died at her
residence, 110 Rockbridge street, Estabrook, last night at 8:55 o’clock after a
long illness.

Besides her husband she is survived by her mother, Mrs. Mary F. Best, of
Norfolk, and two brothers, J. R. Best, Jr., of Richmond, and R. M. Best, of New
Bern, NC.  Mrs. Best (?)  was a native of Kitty Hawk, NC, but had been a
resident of Norfolk for 25 years.

Funeral service will be conducted at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home tomorrow
afternoon at 3 o’clock.  Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
