Norfolk Ledger-Dispatch February 28, 1921
Mrs. Elizabeth Kurtz Collins, wife of Paul T. Collins, died early this morning at 
the residence, No. 3 Manteo apartments, after a long illness, aged 37 years. Mrs. 
Collins was a native of Philadelphia and had resided in Norfolk for 12 years, 
being widely known and greatly esteemed. Her illness of 14 months’ duration 
followed an attack of the flu and her death ensued from heart complications. She 
is survived by her husband, two daughters, Tulane and Elizabeth, and a son, Paul 
T., Jr., and her mother, Mrs. Mary Wardell Kurtz, of Philadelphia. She was a 
member of the First Presbyterian church. The funeral takes place at the residence 
Wednesday, at 2:30 p.m., Rev. S. N. Hutchison, D.D., officiating.
