Virginian-Pilot, The (Norfolk, VA) - Tuesday, September 8, 1998 
Robert L. Collins Sr. of the 700 block of St. Paul's Blvd. died Sept. 6, 1998,
in Sentara Norfolk General Hospital.

Born in Norfolk, he was the widower of Odell Evans Collins. He was a private
contractor for Norfolk Naval Base and a member of Faith Community
Non-Denominational Church.

Survivors include his two sons, Robert L. Collins Jr. of Prince George County,
Va., and Maurice Collins of Norfolk; two grandchildren, Misty Kay Ridley and
Robert Collins III; and a host of relatives and friends.

A funeral will be held at noon Thursday in Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home Chapel
by Pastor Olah Moore. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery . The remains will be
ready for viewing at 3:30 p.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at 3649
Riverside Drive, at 11 a.m. for the procession.
