NORFOLK — Mrs. Alma White Commodore, 83, of 635 Kenosha Ave., the widow of Luther 
Melvin Commodore and a native of Richmond, died Tuesday morning in a hospital.

She lived here for 70 years and was a member of Christ the King Catholic Church.

Survivors include a son, Vincent W. Commodore of Norfolk; three grandchildren; and 
10 great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be recited tonight at 7:30 in Smith & Williams Funeral Home. A 
funeral service will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Christ the King Catholic 
Church by the Rev. Fr. William S. Dinga. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery. 
The body will be in the church at 9 a.m. Thursday.
