Minnie Alvarez Compere, 88, of the 9400 block of Phillips Ave., died July 5, 1991, 
in a hospital.

Mrs. Compere was born in Havana, Cuba. She was the widow of George M. Compere. She 
was a member and did volunteer work at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Margaret L. Compere of Norfolk; and a son, R. Roy 
Compere of Denver, Colo.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Mary's Cemetery 
by the Rev. Santiago Frias. Friends may join the family from 2 to 4 p.m. today in 
Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel.

Memorial donations may be made to a favorite charity.
