OCEANSIDE, Calif. - Raymond M. Compere, 69, died April 8, 2007, at home. Born Jan. 
1, 1938, in Norfolk, he retired as a teacher in 1990. He was a member of Holy 
Trinity Catholic Church, Norfolk. He was a graduate of Norfolk Catholic High 
School and Old Dominion University.

He is survived by his sister, Louise A. Compere of Norfolk.

A memorial Mass will be held at the Mission of San Luis Rey in San Diego, Calif., 
officiated by the Franciscan Fathers. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic 
Cemetery, Norfolk. Memorial donations may be made to the Norfolk SPCA, 916 
Ballentine Blvd., Norfolk, VA 23504-4102.

Raymond will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
