Mr. Conaway was the widower of Mamie Spencer Conaway and had worked for 31 years in the Norfolk Naval Shipyard. He was a member of Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church. Survivors include tow daughters, Gladys C. ills of Washington, D.C., and Erma C. Arrington of Portsmouth; two sons, Harold S. Conaway of Norfolk and Cecil B. Conaway of Portsmouth; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. The funeral will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Bank Street Memorial Baptist Church by the Rev. Albert P. Brinson. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery. Fisher Funeral Home is handling arrangements. The family will be at the residence. The body will be moved to the church at noon on Wednesday.
