Condren, aged 53 years, who died early yesterday morning at his home, 120 West High Street, will take place this morning at 10 a.m. at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Rev. L.J. Ryan will conduct the services. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. A native of New York, he had lived in Norfolk 10 years, was well known and greatly esteemed. He was a member of the Bricklayer's Union. He is survived by his wife and a sister, Miss Margaret Condren. ************************************************************************** The funeral of John J. Condren took place yesterday at Sacred Heart Catholic church at 10 a.m., conducted by Rev. Leo J. Ryan, and was largely attended, members of the Bricklayers’ union being present. “Lead Kindly Light” and “Abide With Me” were sung by Miss Nora Lawler. There were many floral tributes. Burial was in St. Mary’s cemetery, the pallbearers being R. Nugent, A. L. Ward, Joseph Smith, R. C. Smith, W. E. Titmus and John East.
