Virginian-Pilot  April 24, 1890
Sister Mary John, of the order of Sisters of Charity, attached to the St. Vincent 
de Paul, died at that institution yesterday morning. She was formerly a Miss 
Condry, and her death resulted after a very short illness. She was only about 
thirty years of age and, during her residence here, her beautiful character had 
won her many friends among those with whom she was thrown in contact. Her funeral 
took place from the Hospital yesterday afternoon at 5:30 o'clock and was very 
largely attended.
