Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark May 25, 1913

CONE - At his residence, 1122 Church Street, Saturday, May 24, 1913, SAMUEL 
C. CONE, aged 80 years.
The funeral will take place THIS (Sunday) AFTERNOON, May 25, at 4 o'clock 
from the above residence.  Friends of the family invited to attend.  
Interment Elmwood Cemetery.

The funeral of Samuel C. Cone was held at his late residence, 1122 Church 
street, at 4 o'clock p.m. yesterday and was largely attended.  The service 
was conducted by Rev. F.G. Davis of Trinity M.E. Church.  There were 
handsome floral tributes.  The interment was in Elmwood Cemetery.
The following were the pallbearers: Captain T. Nugent, John Hill, Henry 
Froner, Richard Stevens, John Williams, Jr., J. McPherson.
