Virginian Pilot January 23, 1986

Samuel Coney, 46, of 545 W. 38th St., a native of Goldsboro, N.C., died Tuesday 
in his home.
Mr. Coney is survived by his mother, Alice Robertson of Goldsboro; three 
daughters, Agnes Coney of Goldsboro, Denise Coney of Chesapeake and Latonya 
Shearin of Norfolk; two sisters, Annie M. Baker of Goldsboro and Essie Uzzell of 
Chesapeake; seven brothers, Herbert Robertson, Robert Robertson, Bobby 
Robertson, Walter Robertson and Jack Coney, all of Goldsboro, Jerome Guess of 
Norfolk and Harold Coney of New York; and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday in Twilight Funeral Home by Elder 
Cornelius Purkett.  Burial will be in Magnolia Cemetery.  Visitation will begin 
at noon today in the funeral home.  The family will assemble at noon Friday at 
2122 Windy Road, Chesapeake.
