Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark June 6, 1914

                            MRS. TILTON CONKLIN

Mrs. Rebecca Conklin, wife of Captain Tilton Conklin, died at 1:30 o'clock 
yesterday morning at the family residence, 311 Riverview avenue, Atlantic 
City Ward, aged 45 years.  Mrs. Conklin was a native of New Jersey and had 
lived in Portsmouth and Norfolk 35 years and was well known and esteemed.  
She is survived by her husband; four sons, E.T., H.E., Tilton and Albert 
Conklin; a grandson, Tilton H. Conklin; a niece, Mrs. J.E. Simpson and a 
nephew, W.H. Seed, both of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be held at LeKies Memorial Methodist Church at 3 o'clock 
tomorrow afternoon.  Services will be conducted by Rev. V.W. Bargamin, 
pastor of the church.  Burial will be in Elmwood Cemetery.
