Virginian Pilot and The Norfolk Landmark November 15, 1921 

CONKLIN - At a local hospital, Monday morning, November 14, 1921, at 9:30 
o'clock, Captain TILTON CONKLIN, aged 73 years.
Funeral service WEDNESDAY AFTERNOON, November 16, at 2:30 o'clock from his 
residence, 327 Hermon avenue.  Friends of the family invited to attend.  
Interment Elmwood Cemetery.

Tilton Conklin - The funeral of Captain Conklin took place yesterday 
afternoon at his home, 327 Hermon avenue.  The Masonic Lodge and the Knight 
Templars, to which he belonged, were represented at the funeral.  The 
services were conducted by the Rev. R.T. Lumpkin, assisted by the Rev. J.T. 
Routten, seamen's chaplain.  Burial was in Elmwood Cemetery.  The 
pallbearers were: A. von Nyvenhelm, C.M. Nottingham, A.C. Gardner, R.B. 
Blackwood, H.A. Lamer, R.M. Forrest, H.W. McDermott and C.B. Pitt.
