Virginian Pilot May 29, 1908

Mrs. Alice McDonald Connelly, widow of the late John Connelly, died at her home, 
163 Bermuda Street, at 9:35 o'clock a.m. yesterday after a lingering illness. 
She is survived by three children. The funeral will be solemnized from St. 
Mary's Catholic Church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning.

The funeral of Mrs. Alice McDonald Connelly, relict of the late John Connelly, 
was held from St. Mary’s Catholic church at 9 o’clock a.m. yesterday and was 
numerously attended. Requiem mass was celebrated by Rev. Father John Doherty, 
pastor of the church. The floral tributes were numerous and beautiful, including 
a pall for the casket formed of white roses. The remains were laid to rest in 
Elmwood cemetery and the pallbearers were as follows: Thomas S. Fitzgibbon, T. 
M. Cashin, H. A. Davis, George F. Wilkinson, Victor Parks, Patrick Tynan, John 
Cashin and E. C. Wilzel.
