Simon Dennis Connor, aged 70, died suddenly yesterday morning at his residence, 
2657 Marne avenue, Fairmount Park. He was a native of Chicago and had been a 
resident of Norfolk for the past four years. Besides his wife, Mrs. Lena Connor, 
he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. J. W. Lucord, of Richmond, and Mrs.
O. E. Hanbury, of Norfolk; two sons, William S. Connor, of Clarksdale, Arizona, 
and Phillip B. Connor, of Norfolk; a brother, John F. Connor; and two sisters, 
Mrs. Nellie Heffon and Mrs. Margaret Neff, all of Chicago; two grandchildren, 
Oliver E. Hanbury, Jr., and Charles Dennis Hanbury, of Norfolk. The body will be 
taken from H. D. Oliver's funeral apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, to St. 
Mary’s Catholic Church for services this morning at 10 o’clock. Burial will be in 
St. Mary’s Cemetery.
