She was born on November 20, 1931, in Norfolk, Va. She was predeceased by her parents, Joseph Randolph Query, Sr., and Hilda Lyons Query, her brother, Joseph Randolph Query, Jr., and her infant son, Charles Vincent. Aubrey was the loving and caring mother of five daughters and their husbands, their children and their grandchildren: Terry and Creek Waldo, Peggy and Mike Stogner, Helen and Walter Fatzinger, Donna and Brad Pingrey, Susan and Jeff Hiel. She was the doting, specially-loved Nana to Harrison, Andrew and Hannah Waldo, Robbie, Chrisse, and Eric Fatzinger, Hillary Pingrey, and Mandy and her husband Trey, and Kory Hiel, and 16 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother, Lyons Query, of Norfolk and sisters, Marie Pupo, of Norfolk, Gerry Barth, and husband, Joe, of Arlington, Margaret Bramble, of Millersville, Md., her sister-in-law, Nancy Query, of Norfolk, and many loving nieces and nephews. Aubrey's greatest loves were God, her family and friends and she was known for putting the needs of others before her own. She enjoyed extensive travel with family while living in Europe and was a frequent host to family and friends while working in Bermuda. She was retired from Navy Civil Services and her favorite pastime was spending time with those who loved her best. Relatives and friends are invited to visit at H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, on Thursday, December 29, from 6-8 p.m., with a brief prayer service being held at 7:00 P.M., and to attend funeral services at St Pius X Catholic Church, 7800 Halprin Road, on Friday at 11 a.m., followed by interment at St Mary's Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to St. Pius X Catholic Church.
