Norfolk Virginian Pilot November 9, 1951

Miss Lillie Davis Constable, 93, daughter of Henry Beacon and Mrs. Caroline 
Grice Constable, a lifelong resident of Norfolk, died Wednesday at 11:50 p.m. at 
the Episcopal Church Home, 356 West Princess Anne Road.
Surviving are six nieces, Mrs. Frank Driesell, of Norfolk; Dr. Kate Constable, 
of New York; Miss Hannah Constable and Miss Kitty Constable, of Charlotte, N.C.; 
Mrs. Thomas Heye, of Charlottesville and Miss Lillie Constable, of 
Merchantville, N.J.; four nephews, Sam P. Constable, of New York; Henry B. 
Constable, of Charlotte, N.C.; Thomas F. Constable, of Falls Church and Thomas 
H. Constable, of Merchantville, N.J.
Services will be conducted at the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments Saturday at 11 
a.m. by the Rev. Taylor Willis, D.D., rector of Christ and St. Luke's Church and 
the Rev. David C. George, rector of St. Bride's Episcopal Church. Burial will be 
in Elmwood Cemetery.

CONSTABLE, LILLIE DAVIS - At the Episcopal Church Home, Wednesday, November 7, 
1951 at 11:50 p.m. LILLIE DAVIS CONSTABLE, daughter of the late Henry Beacon and 
Caroline Grice Constable, in the 94th year of her age. Services at the chapel of 
the H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, 1501 Colonial Avenue, SATURDAY MORNING at 11 
o'clock. Friends of the family are invited to attend. Interment, Elmwood 
Cemetery.
