Mr. Conte was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles, the Modern Woodmen of the World, and the Italian Benevolent Society. Besides his wife, Mrs. Blanche Knight Conte, he is survived by two sons, Marion Vincent Conte, of Baltimore and Benjamin F. Conte, of Norfolk; two daughters, Mrs. George A. Townsend, of Baltimore and Mrs. Pauline Potter, of Providence, R.I.; four step daughters, Mrs. L.B. Whitehead, of Norfolk; Mrs. E.T. Rush, of Lynchburg, Mrs. George Casty, of New Orleans and Mrs. Goldie Jones of Norfolk. The body was removed to H.D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason Street, pending funeral arrangements. **************************************************************************** Modestina Conte — Funeral services for Mr. Conte, whose death occurred Saturday afternoon at the residence, 2745 East Princess Anne road, were held yesterday afternoon at 3 o’clock at H. D. Oliver's Funeral Apartments, 610-12 East Freemason street, with the Rev. Thomas J. Walsh, of St Mary's Catholic Church, officiating. There was a large attendance and many floral offerings. The casket was covered with a pall of red roses and ferns. Delegations were in attendance from the various organizations of which he was a member. Interment was in St. Mary’s Cemetery. The pallbearers were Hugo Bernagozzi, Nicholas DiNofa, Antonio Panella, John Vita, Joe Ficarra, M. Artese, J. Panella and Nick Granata.
