LAUREL, Md. — Amedeo Jimmie Contrada, 79, who formerly was with Moran Cleaners in 
Norfolk for 40 years and retired, died Saturday in a hospital.

A native of Norfolk, he was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church there, the 
Knights of Columbus, Norfolk Elks Lodge 38, and the Sons of Italy.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Antoinette Hobokan of Houston, Tex., and 
Mrs. Barbara Parker of Beltsville, Md.; two sons, Vincent Contrada of Toledo, 
Ohio, and Eugene Contrada of Graham, N.C.; two sisters, Mrs. Mary Stefancik and 
Mrs. Josephine Copes of Philadelphia; and 10 grandchildren.

A Christian Wake service will be held Wednesday night at 7 in H. D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk. A funeral will be held Thursday at 10 a.m. in Sacred Heart 
Catholic Church, Norfolk, with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery.
