NORFOLK — Mrs. Florence Serra Contrada, 76, of 1200 Redgate Ave, died Friday in a 
hospital.
	
She was the wife of Jimmie Contrada and a daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Muro Serra.

A native of Flushing, N.Y., she lived in Norfolk 55 years. She was a member of 
Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

Surviving, besides her husband, are two daughters, Mrs. Andrew Habakan of Houston, 
Tex., and Mrs. Franklin L. Parker of Beltsville, Md.; two sons, Vincent Contrada 
of Toledo, Ohio, and Eugene Contrada of Graham, N.C., a brother, Nicholas Serra of 
Norfolk; three sisters, Mrs. Emma Layton and Mrs. Ella Zarbua of Norfolk, and Mrs. 
Clara Mitchell of Ramona, Calif., and 10 grandchildren.

A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Monday at 10 
a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The Rosary will be recited in H. D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 
7:30.
