NORFOLK — Mrs. Angela Matalune Contrado, 81, formerly of 200 West 19th St., the 
widow of Pasquela Contrado and a daughter of Pasquela and Mrs. Mary Josephine 
Fiorini Matalune, died in a hospital Saturday evening.

A native of Italy, she lived here more than 64 years. She was a member of Sacred 
Heart Catholic Church, Daughters of Isabella and Cuore di Maria Lodge.

She is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Mamie Beck and Mrs. Mary Beck of Norfolk, 
Mrs. Virgie Robertson and Mrs. Antionette Baxter of Virginia Beach; four sons, 
Daniel Contrado, John Contrado, Michael Contrado and Vincent Contrado of Norfolk; 
two sisters, Mrs. Thomas Denofa, of Norfolk and Mrs. Louis Milano of Virginia 
Beach; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

The Rosary will be said in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments, Norfolk, tonight at 
8:30. A Requiem Mass will be celebrated in Sacred Heart Catholic Church Tuesday at 
11 a.m. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery.

The family will be at 4100 Colonial Ave.
