Daniel A. Contrado, 85, died Aug. 15, 1994, in Virginia Beach.

Mr. Contrado was born in Norfolk and was the widower of Peggy Contrado. He was a 
member of St. Gregory's Catholic Church and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War 
II.

Survivors include four sisters, Mamie Beck and Mary Beck, both of Norfolk and 
Virgie Robertson and Tony Baxter, both of Virginia Beach; and two brothers, 
Vincent Contrado of Virginia Beach and Michael Contrado of Norfolk.

A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday in St. Gregory's 
Catholic Church by Father Anselm Ober, OSB. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery. 
A Christian wake service will be held at 7 p.m. today at Hollomon-Brown Funeral 
Home, Bayside Chapel, where the family will receive friends following the service. 
Memorial donations may be made to St. Gregory's Catholic Church.
