Contrado, 79, of the 400 block of Painter St., died July 6, 1996, in Norfolk. Mrs. Contrado was born in Norfolk and raised in the Colonial Place section of the city. She was educated in the Norfolk public schools system. She was the widow of Michael D. Contrado and the daughter of the late Giovanna and Frank Iantosca. She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church in Norfolk. Survivors include two sisters, Lena I. Leombruno of Norfolk and Theresa I. Deal of Newport News, and many nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by three sisters, Mrs. Hope I. Aloia, Mrs. Alveta I. Sawyer and Miss Jenny Iantosca, and two brothers, Sal J. Iantosca and Frank G. Iantosca. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday in Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church by Father Julian B. Goodman. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be held in the Norfolk Chapel of H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts. at 6 p.m. today. Memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
