JAMES D. COOGAN
NORFOLK - James Daniel Coogan, 81, of 6136 Rolfe Ave., the husband of Mrs. Mary S. 
Coogan and a native of Norfolk, died Thursday morning in a hospital.

He was retired from the Public Works Center of Norfolk Naval Base and was a member 
of Blessed Sacred Catholic Church.

Other survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Barbara C. Kledzik, of Virginia Beach, a 
son, J. Daniel Coogan, Jr., of Norfolk, and two sisters, Mrs. Marie Gerloff and 
Mrs. Lorraine Casey, of Portsmouth.

A rosary service will be held tonight at 7 in H.D. Oliver Funeral Apartments.  A 
funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday at 11 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Catholic 
Chapel, 37th Street at Colley Avenue.  Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery.
