Mary Smith Coogan, of the 6100 block of Rolfe Ave., died Nov. 20, 1990, in a 
Virginia Beach hospital.

Mrs. Coogan, a Norfolk native, was the widow of James D. Coogan. She was a member 
of Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, Christ Child Society, Ghent Garden Club and 
King's Daughters Circle.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara C. Kledzik, of Virginia Beach, and a son, J. 
Daniel Coogan Jr., of Norfolk.

The funeral Mass will be conducted at noon Saturday in Blessed Sacrament Church by 
the Rev. Julian Goodman. Burial will be in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery. A 
Christian wake service will be held at 7:30 p.m. Friday in H.D. Oliver Funeral 
Apartments, Norfolk. Friends may join the family at the residence.
